Viagra – first approved ED medication in Australia.

When Viagra was first approved in Australia for purchase with a prescription, those living outside large urban areas such as Sydney and Melbourne often had difficulty finding a local doctor nearby that understood the drug and who would agree to prescribe it. Nowadays, you’d be hard-pressed to find a doctor anywhere in Australia that doesn’t know about Viagra. It’s earned it’s reputation as the leader in medicines intended to treat erectile dysfunction. As a result, it’s become even easier for Australians to get access to it when they actually need it.

Ordering Online

Those living in Australia can now order Viagra online through any website that’s been approved to sell it. Usually this means you’ll simply fill out a questionnaire which asks you questions about your health, age, allergies, disease history, recreational drug use or anything else that a doctor may need to know about before prescribing Viagra. After submitting this, the questions you answered will typically be reviewed by a doctor and after approval your Viagra order can be processed and shipped directly to you. This is a lifesaver for any men who are nervous about visiting a local doctor, as it can be quite embarrassing for some people to talk about their sexual health.

When Do the Effects Start?

After taking just one Viagra tablet, it’s effects on erectile function usually begin for most men in about 30 minutes, but it may take up to an hour for others. So you should be able to perform in the bedroom within this timeframe, but there’s a few factors that can make the difference between the 30 minutes and the hour quoted. The most important factor is sexual arousal. Within 30 minutes to an hour, you should be able to achieve an erection and maintain it if you’re being intimate with someone and are actually sexually “turned on”. Viagra isn’t an aphrodisiac so it can’t work if you’re not somehow being aroused sexually by someone or even by thoughts.

Dosages

Viagra comes in three different strengths of 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg, all of which are available to Australians. The normal recommended dosage is 50mg, but your health and a few other factors might make the 25mg or 100mg more practical. One major reason why some men prefer the 25mg is because they might feel they are still able to get solid erections with a smaller dosage and may want to avoid some of the side effects that have been reported by people with higher doses of Viagra.

Allergies and Side Effects

You should report to your prescribing doctor or on any medical questionnaire any allergies you have, as well as any health problems you currently have that they might not know about already. Common side effects of Viagra include redness of the face, headache, and congested sinuses. Indigestion and heartburn are somewhat common, occurring in about 7% of people who take Viagra according to a 4-year study on the drug. These are only the most widely reported side effects and any others should be brought to the attention of a doctor immediately.
